Alberta tax sale properties

Alberta currently has 565 tax-sale parcels headed to public auction, 2 tax-forfeited parcels and 303 municipal lots for sale.

Alberta municipalities recover unpaid property taxes by selling land at a public auction (Municipal Government Act, Part 10). Every auction must be advertised in the Alberta Gazette 40 to 90 days beforehand, so the whole province is knowable in advance, and there is no redemption after the sale, so the auction date is a hard deadline.
